In the 1950s and 60s, Shinichi Kume, the second-generation owner of Kume Seni, developed this T-shirt with the desire to "create a T-shirt in Japan that surpasses those worn by Hollywood stars."
Since its birth in the 1960s, it has been a long-selling model symbolizing the brand, continuously produced with almost no changes to its specifications.

Its greatest feature is its classic tight fit, which is rarely seen today.
While offering a beautiful silhouette that conforms to the body, the tubular knit fabric, derived from loop-wheeled knitting, provides surprising stretch, achieving a stress-free wearing experience.

Also striking is the extra-thick binder neck, derived from workwear.
Not only does it enhance durability, but it also gives the neckline a unique presence, providing an excellent balance when worn as an inner layer under jackets or leather.

For the material, an exquisite "36-count" yarn is used, neither 30 nor 40.
The moist, soft touch and moderate thickness, unique to this intermediate yarn count, will make you exclaim once you put it on.

Furthermore, Kume Seni's tough sewing techniques, honed over many years and unique to Japanese-made T-shirts, such as top-and-bottom interlock stitching, are employed throughout.
