A reversible coat that puts a modern spin on a classic design through both its materials and tailoring.

Its greatest appeal is the "dual-A-side" construction, designed so that both the front and back can be worn as the main side.

The outer side features iridescent cotton gabardine, which changes appearance depending on the angle of the light. The density of the fabric provides firmness and durability, making it practical for everyday use.

The reverse side features a classic shepherd’s check wool fabric. With the warmth and refined look characteristic of wool, it offers a completely different atmosphere from the cotton gabardine.

Despite being reversible, it is designed with the same balance for both sides to ensure it looks beautiful whichever way it is worn. Rather than being a simple garment that is just turned inside out, it is characterized by a level of perfection that allows each side to stand alone as a complete coat.

The sleeves feature a single-piece raglan construction. The three-dimensional line that flows naturally from the shoulder to the cuff gives the loose silhouette a soft, rounded shape.

Furthermore, the tailoring incorporates a canvas (hair canvas). This maintains the coat’s structural integrity while providing excellent warmth and durability.

Unlike fusible interlining, which is bonded directly to the fabric, this canvas is sewn in to conform with the fabric. This prevents the silhouette from collapsing over time and allows it to adapt to the wearer's body. Being able to wear it for years while maintaining it, regardless of trends, is another major appeal of this coat.

There is also SCYE’s signature attention to detail in the finer points.

In areas where the opposite fabric might peek through at the hem when worn in reverse, matching fabric has been deliberately used for the construction.

Instead of simply layering the two fabrics, those sections visible when turned are finished with the matching fabric to ensure the coat looks impeccable regardless of which side is worn.
